AlSager Wertel Architects, AWA, is an architecture firm established between Kuwait and Europe. The founders, Amna AlSager and Kai Wertel met while working at world-renowned office Foster + Partner where they both worked for more than 10 years and later combined their knowledge into their own practice. As a result, AWA was established in the year 2020 with the goal of merging international caliber of high-end architecture with local knowledge and functionality.

At AWA our buildings are not solely driven by aesthetics but also by climate, traditions, context, program, and function. We aim to create architecture that challenges the status quo to create innovative solutions that enhance the end-user's experience. Each project is designed with great attention to detail and is analyzed from every aspect.
